Grants in general

Grants can be a huge time sink. Grants are better suited for a mature organization. Often the grant will pull or push an organization into being something that they are not. The influence can be good or bad, of course. One of the jobs of an executive director is to keep a focus on grants and grant opportunities, but all in due time. Perhaps in the fall a grant confab is organized. Sales and support content can be crafted for easy digesting for a grant review team.  The granting agencies should be able to see a clear model and structure to the mission and objectives of the organization. This Sprout Fund grant has been around our town for a while. The big funder is a Foundation -- and they might put Northside Aquatics -- and SKWIM -- on the map as a community project. I have a few possibilities to chase in due time.
